Short notes of Chemistry Form4 Chapter3- Formulae and Equations

CHAPTER 3 : CHEMICAL FORMULAE AND EQUATIONS

The number 6.02 x 10²³ is called Avogadro Constant (NA)

Number Of Particles ( Atom, Molecule, Ion ) = Number Of Mol x NA
Number Of Mol = Number Of Particles ÷ NA

Mass = Number Of Mol x Molar Mass
Number Of Mol = Mass ÷ Molar Mass

Volume = Number Of Mol x Molar Volume
Number Of Mol = Volume ÷ Molar Volume

Substances on the LEFT-HAND-SIDE = Reactant
Substances on the RIGHT-HAND-SIDE = Product

** Numerical Problems Involving Chemical Equations
First Step : Find the number of mol
Second Step : Form The Equation
Third Step : Find the volume or mass
                                 FINISH!
